Altered States (1980) - Sensory Deprivation

Experimentation. Floating. Sensory Deprivation. Lucid Dreaming. Abnormal Psychology. Psychosis. Alternate reality. Altered states...

When you close your eyes, where do you go? Where do you go when your brain goes into sleep mode? If you meditate or float in a sensory deprivation tank, where it is just you and your thoughts, do you ever feel even remotely afraid of what may resurface in your mind?

There are benefits to floating in a sensory deprivation tank. The Epsom Salt are placed in an abundant amount in the tank, permits you to float and rest peacefully. It helps to reduce stress, make positive decisions, helps with injuries, It helps to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. You feel a lot healthier both physically and mentally after you are done floating. Your brain is pretty much like a computer. The more you download and add more junk, the faster you go into a systemic overload and eventually, you will crash. Sensory Deprivation is like that anti-virus software. It cleans out the junk and prevents a virus from entering.

Well at least that is the experience for me, my fiance, and friends. I can't speak for anybody else however...

Trippy. Very trippy....
